off topic- ARROW

So, I’ve been catching up on season 5 in the last few days and now I’m at 5x18 AND OH BOY ADRIAN CHASE LORD PROTECT ME FROM THIS MAN.

I feel so bad saying this, but I kinda get him? You know, he’s a psychopath, and he’s disturbed, but he does point out something that’s true and really important: Oliver is a killer and he enjoys doing it.

Plus all the double-work: he’s smart, almost genius smart and I can’t wait to know how they’re gonna explain how he came to this point because he had to put a lot of effort in finally deciding to defeat Green Arrow after 2/3 years he was in the city (PLUS WHY WAITING ALL THIS TIME?!) and going to Talia, while studying and work his ass to become the DA (a not so simple thing).

Do I hope the Vigilante is still him, from something like Earth 2 ‘cause I like him so much? YOU CAN BET YOUR ASS.

But I have to admit the part (55%) of my love for the character is connected to Josh Segarra and his impeccable performance: his facial expressions, the smirk, the VOICE (I’M JUST A SUKER FOR A GOOD DEEP VOICE), the characterization. I have to agree with something Stephen said in an interview: he worked his ass off to portray Chase as good as possible and he succeeded, in my opinion.

Last point: THE ENDING OF THIS EPISODE! I was like 'PLEASE DO NOT KILL HIM, I NEED ADRIAN IN THIS SERIES, I NEED HIM’. He gave me such a H U G E Dexter Morgan vibe and I was swooning in front of the screen. I really like this guy.

And now all I can think of is Josh Segarra as the lead of a show where he’s a Latino (yes, this thing bummed me a bit: they could have made him a Latino guy and they could have analyzed really important topics in a time like this) murderer and each episode ends with him driving away all covered in blood driving an old Mustang humming/whistling a creepy old tune.
