i do wonder this too, but a lot of those were in life-threatening situations. I think the bond they’ve created, however new it is, is strong enough to protect each other, no matter what. I think they know that they would have been dead otherwise

thats what i was thinking too but i still think its an interesting concept to think about

No you’re not an idiot you just don’t pay so close attention at times that it’s like using a magnifying glass on fine print, it’s okay. 

About this then

Basically back in season 2 when Stiles had his hallucination under the affects of the wolfsbane Peter made Lydia lace the punch at her party with the Sheriff in Stiles mind accused Stiles of killing his mother. Keep in mind that this all wasn’t one bit sheriff but a projection of Stiles own thoughts about the matter and he things this deep down enough for it to have a reasonable doubt and be brought up into his vision of his father yelling at him for ruining his life like he did his mother who is gone. Later the sheriff reveals to the others parents that he missed Claudia his wife’s last moments because a girl who was dying in car accident told him he should be with his wife as she didn’t have much time left. He ignored it focusing on helping her because what she said couldn’t be true and he didn’t believe it only for her to later die while he was there trying to comfort her and then when he got to the hospital later it was too late. Stiles had been with his mother in her last moments alone while his father was on call and helping deal with the accident the girl was in. For all we know she could have been a banshee who foretold Claudia’s death similar to Lydia does others. Now that we know werewolves have blue eyes from killing an innocent and the bite may be the only thing that could save Stiles from dying via the nogitsune possessing his body people are wondering what color his eyes would be. They’ll probably be blue no matter what now and we can’t know for sure if Stiles by his mothers wishes or not ended her life by tampering with her life support. Stiles has killed three people via his own methods even though it wasn’t with his own hands but we don’t know the complete rule book on the matter. So regardless Stiles will probably have blue eyes from killing innocents as three people died as a result of what he’d done under the nogitsune’s controlling his body to hurt others. Jackson didn’t kill of his own will yet still got blue eyes and the guilt of having done it. The only thing I was wondering is if by chance the killing have to have been done while they were already a werewolf or supernatural creature. Jackson didn’t kill until he was already a werewolf and Peter and Derek were both born wolves before they killed possibly. If Peter’s innocent wasn’t Laura then it still was while he was a werewolf unless it’s later revealed he was a bitten and born human in the Hale family full of werewolves.  Stiles isn’t a werewolf yet but still will hold the guilt of knowing it was his own hands that did all this even if he had no control over himself at the time. Thus the mystery of never knowing if he really was the cause of his mother’s death because they’ll be blue no matter what unless he had to have killed an innocent while he was already a werewolf.

TLDR: Stiles blames himself for his mother’s death. Now we’ll never be sure because he killed other people due to the nogitsune. Werewolves eyes turn blue as a beta when they kill innocents. Stiles has killed innocents now a total of three victims with Borrows added on. Even if Stiles wasn’t in control neither was Jackson. The only thing that is different was Jackson was already bitten and a kanima at the time of killing innocents at Matt’s commands as his master against his will. Stiles’ only hope if any would be if he found a loop hole of being human while killing and not yet a werewolf as he hasn’t gotten the bite yet but that’s iffy at best though.
