every time i think of that scene where bobby pours out the alcohol because eddie told him what he needed to hear, i get emotional about it. eddie may not have been able to do something risky to save bobby in the lab, but he did save him once with his words. with his love. eddie knew bobby would feel like a failure when the jonah thing happened under his watch, so he showed up and said exactly what bobby needed.

'you aren't all knowing or all seeing, bobby, you are just a good man.'

eddie kept bobby from falling back into his addictions. eddie never knew he saved him too.
