Stermy confirms attendance at Cybsum

Yesterday evening I spoke with Quake legend Alessandro "Stermy" Avalone and he confirmed that he will be attending the Cyberathlete Summit on 23-24 June in Paris, France. 

He did not have much time, as he had to board his plane to E3, so I could not ask much more. I assume he will be attending with his team, colwn, together with l1nkin and winz.

Stermy also stated that he will fully focus on ShootMania and not other games.

SOPA Lan with several big names

Several big named players from different gaming backgrounds are attending the SOPA Lan in Paris, France on 16-17 June.

The event will have prizes with a total value of 13 000€ and that will attract some famous players from games like Quake and Call of Duty.

Stermy, l1nkin and winz, all Quake players, will be attending as colwn, and have attended to skip DreamHack Summer's Quake Live competition to attend this. Other known names include strenx, who will go with Absolute Legends, Call of Duty player RaigeKi and MoMaN, known from StarCraft 2 and other games. 

The website also says SK Gaming is attending with rapha, Cypher and Cooller, but all players have denied this and said it is a fake applicant. They will all be attending DreamHack Summer instead.

Next to the already signed-up teams, there will also be one team who will qualify via the E3 tournament, of which the qualifiers will be held on 1-2 June and the final two will face off at the E3 show on 6 June.

Friday 15th - Check-in

Saturday 16th - Tournaments start at 10:30 CEST

Sunday 17th - Tournaments finish at 17:00 CEST
