Rewatched 9x6 for this, and Ephraim coming to relieve Cas of his pain, and by extension, his life makes me wish we saw more of Castiels past in heaven and who he was before the Winchesters. I believe it was mentioned by another angel at some point that Cas had strayed before, and had his brain reset for the disobedience, and I would have liked to see if this was an issue with other angels as well or if he was just wired differently and was unique. It would also be an insight into what Cas was like before falling in love with Dean Humanity, we get a bit of it in s4 I guess, but, like, yk, would have been neat to see more of Cas but pre human contact. Or seeing heaven before all the earth jazz went down. I'm on s14, so shhh, no spoilers if it does come up in s15 (i doubt it, tho lmao).
