dog tags theory is making the rounds on twitter again so i’m here to chime in w my two cents and say that there are two tags on that chain. and one could be steves from the war but also one could be sams when he was para rescue. and bucky wears them both because all three of them are married to each other and they live happily ever after. the end!

Fully sold on the idea that Bucky goes all soft and sleepy eyed when someone calls him something sweet because Hydra would never have called him sweet, kind things.

So calling him sweetheart or doll or honey is good at knocking him out of episodes, calming him down, getting him to sleep, eat, relax, etc.

Even calling him asshole or idiot or whatever else comes to mind works when it's in the sweet, loving kind of voice.

This goes along with my love for Bucky having a praise kink and being touch starved.

So someone calling him something sweet and mixing it in with some praise is a quick way to have him pressing into their hands like a cat and practically purring.

I'm going to say my piece. And then I'm going to head out. The way some of y'all show energy for Bucky's cameo in this movie. And the way y'all inflate the hell out of it because "they're together again". I better see that same energy if Sam appears in the Thunderbolts* movie.

Also, stop tagging Sam Wilson and Anthony Mackie if y'all aren't going to talk about them. I touched on this in my previous post, but I am so sick of going to those tags and all I see is y'all talking about Bucky Barnes and Sebastian Stan. And maybe y'all will throw in a little mention of Sam or Anthony but that's about it. But yet, when I go to Bucky Barnes' or Sebastian Stan's tag, most of the posts rightfully focus or include the character or actor in a meaningful way

I have this same energy for the people who post in the sambucky tag but only or mainly talk about Bucky. Some of y'all talk about Sam like he's an accessory and it's so weird. The way y'all will give the most critical, deep essays and character dives about Bucky and then at the same time act like Sam is this "helper" or therapist to him is so hypocritical it's wild. And don't get me started on the people who picture Sam as this "big and strong" black man. It's straight up fetishization. Not to mention Anthony Mackie is literally shorter and smaller than Sebastian Stan. Y'all have such a warped sense of reality that y'all will make up features in order for them to fit your ideal couple. Nasty.

It makes me feel like some of y'all don't see Sam as a character. Some of y'all see him more like an accessory or a caricature. And if you're offended by this, or you're like "I'm not like that". You're probably way closer to what I'm describing than you think you are.

Bucky stepped in front of Sam to open the door, and then gestured for him to enter like he was presenting him at a ball. It made his hair flop kind of endearingly in his face.

“Oh, we’re gonna be fancy?” Sam asked as he stepped inside, ducking his head in the doorway.

“Only the best for you, sugar-pie,” Bucky retorted.

Sam was planning to get close to Bucky by tracking him, not by getting snowed into a romantic cabin with him.

Sam slows his steps when he reaches the hut. Right now he feels amped up enough that he could kick that rickety door in, reduce it to splinters with a well-placed boot. But then what good would that do either of them. He flexes the fingers of his right hand again, curls them into a fist.

Against all reason, Sam knocks on the door. Against all reason, Bucky opens it, like some kind of normal human being.

“Hey, man,” Sam greeted, and Steve could hear the exhaustion in his voice. “You got something for me?”

“Umm, no,” Steve said, after a moment. For once he was thankful for the hundreds or miles between them. At least Sam couldn’t see him cringe in embarrassment over the phone. “There aren’t any new updates on my end,” he admitted.

“Oh,” Sam said, confusion coloring his tone.

Steve couldn’t blame him. It wasn’t everyday that he called Sam during what he knew was the middle of the night where he was for no good reason. Even if Steve did kind of always want to randomly ring Sam up at the oddest hours just to hear his voice, he’d been able to resist the urge. Well, until now.

“Well, what’s up? Everything okay over there?”

No, Steve thought, before answering aloud: “Yeah, everything’s pretty much business as usual here.”

Or: Steve never asked for a party, but if he has to have one, he’d at least like for his favorite person to be there.

“Hey there were a bunch of people who did not get punched who I wanted to punch so I think that counts for something!”

Sam is so tired of these old-men bickering, but Bucky is right and he loves chaos so he adds fuel to the fire

“You two know it isn’t the 1930’s anymore and that you can’t go around hitting people just because? Even if you are 150 years old.”

“Punk, Sam you think that’s funny huh? Let’s go you and me right now. I’ll show you who’s old!”
