@stewardofmidgar found the immaculate.
The former leader of Deepground was surprised to have crossed path with the WRO director. If this had been during his reign as the emperor of the secret Shinra experiment, he would’ve delighted at the occasion of ridding the world of the greatest of his opposition. But he was free of Hojo’s repulsive influence and desires.
Though it kept Weiss from outright killing Reeve, merely seeing him served as a symbol of bragging. Crossing his arms across his chest, he would rely on glaring daggers at the other rather than using his sword revolvers that cross behind his back.

“Carb? Get back here!” He shouted as he chased after his small, fox companion. He wasn’t sure what Carbuncle wanted to show him that was important enough to warrant him skipping out on his duties – something Heidegger was going to kill him for, he hoped Carb realised.
The only reason he was pursuing him was that he’d never seen him act like that before. Carbuncle had always been with him, watching over him ever since he was a baby. The pair were usually inseparable. Carbuncle had been wandering about lately though – something that he’d started not long after Noctis had been taken in by Heidegger.
When he finally caught up with Carbuncle, he found that he wasn’t alone. He was with a...cat?
“You dragged me all this way to show me you made a friend? Don’t get me wrong, Carb, I’m happy for you. But Heidegger is gonna kill me for skipping out on training.”

"I'm starting to think you have no other sorts of week topside,” Melissa commented with a small smile, but she could tell that the director was not in a mood for jokes. There were dark rings under his eyes, his shirt was rumpled in a way that suggested that either Reeve did not have the time to change into new clothes or just couldn’t find the time to return home.
The man was a mess, in dire need for some sleep and relaxation - and yet she could tell that his brain was not stopping running scenarios, plans and ideas anytime soon.
The hand that previously shut the director up went down, finding his own fingers and gently pulling him towards a chair. The room they currently occupied was one of the standard chambers available, with no fancy chaise lounges - but for what she had in mind, this was better. Melissa then removed his jacket and went around, standing behind the director in order to place her hands on his horribly tense shoulders.
“I want you to indulge me with a game, Reeve,” she said with a smile while her fingers tested his reactions first - by Shiva, he needed to decompress, “Can you describe what a perfect vacation would be for you? Where would you go?”

Rhys VC: “It wasn’t me! I’m not that rude. And I don’t not trust him because he knows things, I don’t trust him because he’s clearly a fairy.”
“ someone’s a bit judgmental, don’t you think? ” she purses her lips, quirks one fine brow. that indignant tone of her so clearly a farce, but for the ears of the castle? it’s there. “ don’t be ridiculous. he’s just a cat. nothing more, nothing less. ”

Oh, Rude knows his share of the guilt well -- there’s not a day since the fall of the plate that he DOESN’T think of the deaths they’ve caused. How, in the end, it was HIM that pressed the button to disconnect the plate from the pillar. Yet he’s not the one that made the decision; he’s but a little cog in a big wheel, and he has no say in how it runs.
Reeve isn’t much different, Rude is sure. Compared to Scarlet, Heidegger, Hojo . . . he seems too PLACABLE.

Biggs finds it difficult to hide awed the smile forming on his lips as he stares at their odd visitor. It’s not everyday they see someone from the upper plate in this manner, after all: suit jacket haphazardly thrown on the back of a chair, dress shirt sleeves messily rolled up to forearms and now heavily wrinkled, and very obvious dirt stains on the man’s slacks from when he’d knelt on the ground to draw moogles with chalk for the children.
The fact that the guy seems to genuinely enjoy helping out in a place like this, too... Like the rest of the usual orphanage personnel, Biggs can’t help but wonder if Tuesti actually has an ulterior motive or something for being such a generous volunteer. If he isn’t playing with the kids, he’s helping clean the classroom. And if he isn’t able to offer his time here, he drops off handmade presents for the children instead!
Volunteers from the top side don’t really go the extra mile like this, not without expecting some kind of compensation despite the whole volunteer position. Folia’d quietly voiced her worry to Biggs about Tuesti possibly asking for pay one day...
Seeing the mirthful look on the man, though? Biggs suddenly feels the slightest pang of guilt for ever being suspicious of him.
Hands clap loudly several times to get everyone’s attention before making gentle shoo-ing motions. “C’mon, you rascals, y’gotta let Mr. Tuesti go home for the day.” Eventually he makes his way to the other man’s side as the kids scatter about, amusement still present as a grin on his face as he teases a little, “He’s probably a very busy man. Right, sir?”

Cor wasn’t a fan of attending the parties held at the Citadel. He felt out of place. Unlike most of those who attended, Cor hadn’t had a privileged upbringing. His family had little by the way of money when he was young and he’d joined the Crownsguard at the age of thirteen, working his way up the ranks. He owed a hell of a lot to King Mors.
He wasn’t there for fun though. He was on duty as the head of security while Clarus stuck to Regis’ side like glue.
Standing at the far side of the room, Cor kept his stern gaze on the partygoers, almost daring them to cause trouble.
As Reeve approached, Cor nodded his head in greeting. He didn’t know him particularly well, but he’d seen him around.
