Happy Birthday Skeeter

"10...9...8..." Omega's voice box booms against the walls of Team Dark's apartment.

"7...6..." Gemerl counts with him, third eye switching between his spartner and son.

Skeeter's pedal hydraulics bounce with excitement as he is surrounded by the family he loves and that he knows loves him.

"5...4...3..." The Chaotix and the rest of Team Dark count with them along with some other friendly faces Skeeter had met throughout this first year of his existence.

"2..."

"1..."

"...HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKEETER!"

Streamers and confetti fly out of Omega's arm cannons and envelop the entire room of people who showed up for his mini model's first birthday party. Although they have varying reactions to the sheer amount of celebratory decorations they are now covered with, Skeeter intentionally hangs as many as he can on his chassis while beeping with glee.

"Skeeter. What would you like first? Cake or presents?" Gemerl asks first, motioning to presents and a special cake nearby filled with various nuts, bolts, and eggpawn parts.

"Both!" The eager robot shouts out, bringing his hands up into the air.

Although Gemerl is about to protest, he thinks better of it for his son's special day and turns around to grab a present from behind him, and lowers it into Skeeter's arms.

Thank you so much to @drtwistertime for that amazing art of Skeeter's bday party up above! Oh my gosh I can't believe it's been a whole year! May 26th 2025 is when I first attempted Skeeter's design as it appeared in my head on Microsoft Paint!

And then a day or two later, my friend @drtwistertime took him and brought him to life!! Because of their awesome skills and generosity, I made them the co-owner of Skeeter!

Then when AU August hit, I wrote so much for this little guy that he truly became the very first gemega fankid in the Sonic Fandom!

(Plz correct me if I'm wrong. I'd love to know if there was a Gemega fankid before him. On that note, there should be more of them though. Tag me in all your gemega fankid stuff. I need there to be at least 8.)

Then I need to thank @sonic-au-august for all the lovely messages they wrote on each of the ficlets I did! You really went above and beyond for everyone in that event and you kept me motivated too! Tysm!!!

Also thanking @drtwistertime again for creating this wonderful piece of art for Day 11 -Challenge. Omega and Skeeter in suits will never get old.

Then the following Christmas I wrote a Christmas fic as a present to both myself and the people who enjoy my content.

And ever since then I haven't stopped thinking about him! I want to do more with him! He's so cute I just wanna punt him across a field, but that is Omega's job. What are your thoughts on Skeeter? Any ideas on how I should use him going forward?
