Ladies and gentleman, this is Shard, former Metal Sonic and one of the pre-reboot’s most creative and complex characters, in my honest opinion!

Not only does his reappearance give the somewhat dull #87 story merit, but the very idea of putting together a good Metal Sonic from parts of other ones, and making his design hearken back to Metal Sonic 3.0′s colour scheme from Sonic Rivals 2, I dunno...it all comes together perfectly! I love this character and his snark and his natural inclination to do good.

And oh my god, is that the fricking Mighty Lips meme...?!? xD

Oh hey, Larry Lynx is back! Its been quite a while since we’ve seen him, and I do like his new look thanks to Stanley. I suppose he’s also gonna be a member of the secret team, because he’s so unpredictable and full of bad luck?

I don’t like how close he looks to Bubsy the Bobcat, tho...

Heh, I do rather like this cover. Its got Sonic continuing his feud with Mecha Sally, Tails beating up that douche Drago Wolf, and Amy Rose scaring the crap out of Dr. Eggman. Its all really fun stuff!

I just wish more of this encompassed the actual comic issue...yep, we’re getting more Wolf Pack and Felidae antics, and the continued quest to get Sally back is certainly gonna last a while after #238...

Oh, also with Harvey Who’s secret team coming into place, it also got Uncle Chuck back into a role reminiscent of his SatAM portrayal! I love Stanley’s page showing the old Robotropolis setting, complete with Robotnik’s HQ in the background and Uncle Chuck looking just like he did in the cartoon. I love the detail she put into this page!

Mecha Sally proving once again to be the smartest minion among’s the villain’s inner-circle.

We don’t get to see much of Mecha Sally as I hoped this issue, but we do get to see Tails, who used to look up to her as a kind of aunt, defend himself from her. The kid’s really grown up since the old SatAM days!

The side-story is, once again, starring Harvey Who setting up his secret team, and its drawn by Evan Stanley! With Matt Herms on colours! Hells yeah.

In his last appearance before the reboot, Drago Wolf has the crap beaten out of him by Lyco. Can’t say the guy doesn’t deserve it.
