In order to be budgeted by the SGA and get money for meeting snacks and event materials, we have to complete a certain number of community service hours. This semester, we have only completed 15% of our goal and the deadline is a month away.
In order to vote and run for exec board, each member must have at least FOUR hours of community service.
Here are some upcoming opportunities: - Hunger Banquet (April 7) - YMCA Healthy Kids (April 30) - Relay for Life (May 6)
Message or email us if you want details for events!
I’m back!!!
SO, I sadly was forced to take a bit of a Tumblr hiatus when I lost access to a computer. BUT I AM BACK AND HERE TO STAY! I am, as ALWAYS: A ear to listen. Someone to lean on. A shoulder to cry on. A warm hug. And your friend. If you follow me or I follow you, I WILL be your friend. If you want me to. Have a lovely day.
Meet the 2015-16 executive board! Over the next few weeks, we will be posting about each member and their role within Active Minds. If you ever have a question or want to talk to one of us, we always stick around after meetings on Thursdays.
Are you interested in doing more for Active Minds? Volunteer for an event subcommittee, and make sure you have enough service hours to participate in our April elections.
My amazing friend and hero, Sarah Fader (CEO of Stigma Fighters), lays it down...
