"Why wouldn't you be?"
Satoru tilts his head in confusion, as though the question was simply strange. He taps his chin with his fingers a few times, as though thinking a bit before continuing, words chosen carefully to explain himself efficiently.
"I know for sure you're not a bad kid, so if you got into a fight I'm confident the other guy deserved it. You got all my support. But your teachers and the principal don't see it that way."
Two weeks suspended had been the punishment. There was nothing Satoru could do, even if he stood his ground that Megumi was not the one on fault. At the very least, the other kid had ended up on the same boat, a small mercy. Besides, Satoru had always one to look at the positive side of things, and maybe this could be made into something good if Megumi so he wanted.
"You know, I was thinking of taking you somewhere for the holidays, this might just be a signal to speed things up." he smiles, leaning forward a bit like an excited child about to share a new, "How do you feel about some impromptu vacations? Is there anywhere you want to go or something you want to do? Camping, a museum, the beach, a whole other country-- whatever it is, I can have it set up in a few hours. The school owes me years of vacations anyways. Just say the word and we can do it."
