Why do people react weirdly when I tell them I'm a Leo?

I'm not one to believe in horoscopes/astrology and how the signs are controlled under a certain time/ruled by the energy of x planet, but my friend is point on about my relationships/personality.

I am apparently the epitome of the prideful Leo (but I swear I'm not social or "shine" in the room lol. I like to be alone in the corner, sorry... and I really don't want the attention; I seriously don't know what to do with it.)

Still, what gives? Is being a Leo so bad? I think being symbolized as a majestic lion is pretty badass. In other news, I need to find and date a Sagittarius according to my friend's advice. xD I seem to fall towards only Aries and Aquarius (but mostly Aries.... which apparently really compatible signs for Leos? Okay there.)
