     “ N- NO!! get away from me!! ”

     AUTUMN IS DIZZY and finds it hard to keep her balance, yet p u s h e s clara away, staggering unsteadily. everything hurts ( although the most pain is coming from her head ) and she knows she isn’t going to be able to walk without clara’s help, but she would rather fall to the ground ( which she does after a few seconds ) than to allow clara to assist her. she is trembling as she pushes herself up into a sitting position, well-aware of the fact that she would just collapse again if she attempts to stand.

     “ WHO ARE YOU?? where are we?? ”

     SHE DOESN’T REMEMBER being hit by the beam; doesn’t remember anything. clara’s voice is unfamiliar to her, as is her own. she can’t remember clara, or how she got here, or anything about herself. it all feels... foggy. as if she s h o u l d remember, but can’t. and, naturally, she is frightened. mostly of clara, who is, now, a total stranger to her. did she do this? autumn automatically assumes that she had to have, which accounts for her defensiveness and hostility.

     “ WHAT’S---- what’s going on?? ”
