When you talk about Controllers being "meatsuits", is that a reference to a specific canon quote or did you just coin it? Because I... really like it. Just the horrible implications that come from the term. And the reality is just as horrific. A+ word choice
Not my word originally! It’s from Supernatural — the demons refer to their human hosts that way. The first time it occurs is “Devil’s Trap,” written by Erik Kripke. And yes, it’s a wonderfully visceral term.
The specific tag “Sol cares too much about the meatsuits” comes from a SuperWhoLinLock RP that was my first intro to Tumblr. I was playing a Supernatural character named Adam and it became an RP-wide joke for other players to introduce me as “Adam, who cares too much about the meatsuits” or to tag my meta-posts (which, yes, tended to follow a certain theme) with “Adam cares too much about the meatsuits.”
Which might actually be a good point. Friends I met through that RP still poke fun at me for having a Very Singular Focus in every single movie I review (the latest: that poor body-snatched guy from WW84) and honestly I blame Animorphs for making me this way. Anyway, no one in the Animorphs fandom knows Adam Milligan, so I just refer to myself as Sol in the tag.
