A very loose interpretation of the prompt!

I was looking through my photos for something chocolate (and realizing that I don't really take photos outside of travel) and found a picture of this drink with black cocoa from Granny Smith Pie in Japan that I ordered cause I thought it was cool

I didn't remember exactly what it was and tried looking up this drink but it was from their seasonal menu so I couldn't find it 😅

Mooncake 🌕 Stilltober prompt: bakery

This is my first post for stilltober25 hosted by veryberrydraws on insta, though I'm drawing the prompts out of order

Since the mid-autumn festival is coming up, I thought that I would try to draw a mooncake!

This is a Taiwanese mooncake from Té Company in NYC, which has a mung bean and egg yolk filling and is less sweet than the white lotus paste ones in my opinion (which are also good but I can't eat as much of it!)

I generally prefer the ones without an egg yolk inside but the egg yolk ones look more like the moon when you cut it so I thought that I would use that one for the photo reference. I tried to cut this in half to show the yolk but I ended up sort of squishing it a bit with the knife and everything sort of melded together 😅

I wasn't sure what to do for mushroom but as I was looking through my photos, I saw an enoki mushroom steak that I got at a restaurant in Japan 🍄

I've been playing around with texture brushes recently and I think this one came out too soft

Jumping forward a bit to the prompt matcha!

This is a matcha suncake from Ruyi Sunny Cake that my aunt got for me when she visited this summer ☀️ A suncake is a flaky dessert filled with maltose and it's one of my favorite desserts, though it's harder to find in the States but it's so nice with tea or even coffee 😊

Matcha has been so popular recently and it's been fun seeing all the new matcha drink flavors. My preferred way of drinking it is just a simple sweetened matcha or a soy matcha latte. What's your favorite drink?
