Stina never wanted to be part of this Black Swan-Neverseen mess; it’s her parents who got into it first, so it’s not like she ever asked to be dragged into some crazy war with abilities and genetic manipulation and who knows what else, not to mention the fact that apparently everyone she knows has been hiding some kind of secret allegiance.
But Marella, Marella is the one true thing left in this insane mockery of a world, and Stina doesn’t care about what anyone else says or that there are at least three blasters pointed at a shaking Marella or the way Sophie is looking at Marella like she’s scum on the floor- Stina doesn’t even care thant Marella’s a pyrokinetic, because none of that will change the fact that Marella is still the only good person in the world, and because none of that will ever make her give up Marella to these people who want nothing more than to see her dead.
“Get away from her,” Stina snarls, raising her own weapon like a challenge.
