okay fuck YEAH i am i will talk about pyroc for thirty years if uninterrupted and allowed

okay so pyroc and guilt is uh….. complicated and spoiler filled so i’ll keep it broad! he was raised with an INTENSE set of morals and expectations and didn’t really try combatting or critically thinking about them until his late teens whereupon he realized that he’s hurt a lot of people and his morals and family will continue to do so if he doesn’t change something and do something uh. drastic.

so he does it. and managed to feel guilty about a whole mess of things— not realizing earlier, not doing it better, not thinking enough, not acting fast enough, ect ect

so he holds onto the guilt around that with an iron fist

his morals mean he was very used to being in the right, so if he makes a mistake or does wrong by someone his first, underdeveloped response is just. anger. how dare you tell me i’m wrong and that i hurt you that’s not true I did it so it’s RIGHT you’re in the wrong

and as he starts maturing as sort of a living individual and realizing causing someone pain isn’t about being right or wrong but like. hurting the other person? he dives nose first into guilt

he will still get the entitled anger flashes first but then feel WORSE about it after bc he’s trying to be better

upside is he doesn’t hold onto it— he will talk to the person straight away and lay down all the information he has and try to open lines of communication, at least when he’s older lol

as for us liking each other irl that’s a MESSY one…….. i’d probably mother hen him too much and he’d get frustrated lmfao

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

In my human plot, it’s kind of a 4-way tie between Aqui, Kye, Zee and Brae (they’re the protagonists for a reason, and the reason is that they’re my favorites).

It’s harder to pick a favorite from my Mothcat plot, but I might have to go with Samphire. She was my first Mothcat. She’s pretty central to the plot. She’s SPUNKY and PRECIOUS. I love her.

Also, Brae and Tate are my platonic OTP. (Brae is mine, Tate belongs to Tree.)

Yep! Samphire and Hawthorne are fraternal twins.

For Critters:

I have an awful lot of orange animal OCs (I blame @itsubun)

Based on existing birds/invertebrates

White/cream tummies

Either super tiny or HUGE, no in-between

Everybody is obsessed with mud for some reason?

4. A character you rarely talk about?

I don’t really talk about my non-Pathfinder OCs anymore, do I? I still love a lot of them and I fully intend to continue working on some old plot stuff I came up with back in my wild Neopound days, but it’s been on the backburner for literally YEARS now.

5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?

PFFFF if I got to publish something Pathfinder I’d totally sneak Areth in there somehow. I always complain about how boring he is, but he’s done some really major things already and he’s due to save Korvosa by the end of our campaign. (Also it would finally create a new canon King of Korvosa.)

In all seriousness, I need to resume work on that original setting I’ve been thinking about for years. It’s not only stuff I want to write with characters I’ve known and loved for years - it’s kinda political underneath the surface and really shows personal philosophies and beliefs I have and I want to put it out there. Also Shara and Twelve (formerly known as Azshara and Zwölf) are still the best overly symbolic lesbians and I need them back in my life actually brb going to draw them today

It will come back eventually! I got second (?) degree burns on the tips of my thumb and forefinger, they went hard, white & shiny, then blistered and peeled away after about a week… two months later they were more or less back to normal, but extra sensitive for a while.

that's reassuring! I didn't get burned that badly, it doesn't hurt anymore but I can't feel anything with that bit of skin
