You’re riding and in the zone, challenging yourself a little above your limit, but you are confident in your abilities. Then you snap back a second to reality and an inkling of fear enters your mind: like wait, this sport is kind of dangerous, I should slow down. I don’t need to take this curve this hard or ride this fast. The ride comes to a stop and is over, you say goodbye to your buddies. And you go home and kiss your cat, thanking the riding gods for letting you come home another day.
