Hannibal opens the door for him, steps aside politely to encourage him from the parlor space into the office beyond his formal waiting room -- the young man in question strikes him as especially NERVOUS, though in his line of work, that isn’t anything terribly out of the ordinary.  He gives a pleasant smile, easy eyes and open demeanor, the act that he has so thoroughly rehearsed on countless others.

“ Welcome, Victor Frankenstein, I presume?  You’re right on time.  Please, come in. “  And he gestures to the adjacent sofa’s, where Victor may choose to sit.  “ You may sit, or stand if you feel more comfortable -- some people are more at ease when their restless energy is put to use.  I don’t mind if you walk around. “ Hannibal waits until his patient has entered the room to shut the door behind them for PRIVACY.

sam  prompts  victor  to  accept  what  appears  to  be  a  flare  gun,  pink-red-orange  casing  and  a  dark  grip,  a  small  throng  of  comet  red  12  GA  flare  rounds  in  the  opposing  hand.  ‘  it’s  scared  of  fire.  flares  do  the  trick.  if  it  gets  close  to  you,  shoot  it  and  run  like  hell.  that’s  pretty  much  the  only  thing  that’s  gonna  help  you  --  unless  you  think  you  can  handle  a  can  of  aerosol  and  a  lighter.  ‘    sam  hates  the  god-be-damned  rockies.  if  it’s  not  wendigos,  it’s  grave-hopping  witches,  whom  were  susceptible  to  more  than  flares,  or  wampus  beasts,  or,  once,  devil  dogs.  he  gives  victor  an  appraising  look.

        she was already reaching out to stead the figure as soon as she realized she had run into someone. obviously, she hadn’t been paying attention. she never really paid attention, especially since she had been in the middle of a spirited conversation with harriet. ‘ oh! sir, i am so sorry. i didn’t hurt you, did i? ‘ she waved harriet on, ensuring her friend she would catch up later.

her cheeks burned. frozen stiff from the hailstorms that seemed to pelt down upon her from the scottish heavens above as though to say, “you were wrong to come here”. or at least, that was the indication she got as her eyes blinked and tried to rid themselves of the ice that rested upon lashes. not that she could curse it. no, it had been brianna’s choice to make it here. and that meant fairing the weather. no matter how much it made her want to turn back and escape into the comfort and safety of her mustang. besides, soon, hopefully soon, she’d be within the comfort of lallybroch. greeted by an estranged aunt and uncle and hopefully welcomed. still, that was a way away and for now, brianna decided to take her rest bite in what she could only assume was a pub. pulling her hat lower, the redhead fixed the attire she had on her, breeks and all, before hunching slightly. it’d been her plan from the beginning; to welcome the facade of a young man in these times. safer still than a young woman. 

stepping inside the building, she moves through the small groups of people before settling next to the fire that roars and heats the entirety of the room and stretches her painfully cold fingers before the flames. “do you happen to know if this is a bedsit?” she starts then to the man next to her, never lifting her eyes, barely showing her face. voice dropping just enough to try and be passable. “or perhaps where i can find the owner?”
