outlander. the only show that can show assault in the premiere and a finale of a season and have it be two different characters

im so over the “book accuracy” excuse when following the sexual violence targeted at the characters in outlander. 

ian could have been taken from geillis without assault.

brianna could have gotten pregnant without assault.

claire could have been kidnapped without assault.

they choose to follow these storylines, and i’m over it.

 to have brianna’s assault story wrapped only one episode ago, to this finale hinting at what i think it’s hinting at... you’d think the sexual violence against outlander’s female characters would be non-existent in the year 2020.
