I feel like the fandom slowly gas light themselfs and the writers into think Stolitz is more toxic then it ever actually was. Like there are problems doesn't get me wrong but at no point does Stolas try to make Blitz uncomfortable on perpous. Does he yes is it intentional no.
First off in the orginal pilot the whole point is that Bliz has very sugessfully seduced this princess. Stolas is being horny as hell for him becuse Blitz had initiated. Now Blitz was fakeing enthusiasm sure but that is hardly Stolas fault. Yes to strong but like from his perspective they had established a explicitly sexual relationship and was acting accordingly. Of corse that is all retconned now but fuck.
We have Stolas makeing degreateing coments which is a problem and the show sees it that way. The problem isn't with there arrangement it is with him being low key classest which mind you is a normal plot point in royal/pesent romances. Like stright people have this plot point all the time. Oh my god this plot point is litterly in Merlin do y'all rember BBC's Merlin.
Stolas is constantly more sexually forward yes but only because Blitz Started a sexual relationship and Stolas has never had consensual sex befor he met Blitz. He doesn't know what is and isn't ok he's fumbling like a teenager in there first relationship becuase he's never dated.
If anything the fact that Blitz is litterly doing sex work for Stolas as he is developing feelings is the problem. A problem that Stolas fixs.
Alot of the way people talk about Stolas and Blitz's earily relationship tends to be very anti sex work. Becuase that's what thay relationship was.
Blitz did sex and Stolas payed him in being able to keep his book. If at any point either of them didn't want that they both could have backed out. Blitz of corse woud have the higher cost haveing to find anouther person to get liveing world acess from. However Stolas isnt even the only person he knew with that power. Obviously Verosika has that power and while she certainly wont give it to him it proves there are infact outher options.
If anything the inappropriateness of the relationship comes from Stolas developing feeling when he is functionally Blitz's boss in this situation. That's why him giveing Blitz the crystal was the way to fix the situation.
You know the way people treat stolas and blitz is really highlighting a problem that translates to real people which is that now charter flaws mean "awful person". I'll see people do this to real people to stolas is a realistic depiction how how privileged people can be classist and he needs to work on it but he's not "a bad person" blitz is well unstable but he's not "a bad person" they both just need time and willingness to work on there isues and some people don't see that and only see them in there present moment. Now I get with real people some people never change but some people chose to change and some people can't even see the problem till some one they trust points it out. It's just a trend towards black and white thinking and it's toxic all yall who do that are toxic.
I'm a bit hard on stolas here but I will give him one thing when better than blitz boy asked stolas to dance even then he looked to blitz for permission. He silently asked blitz is this ok even when he owed blitz nothing in that moment even when they where just fighting and he's drunk he still asked and that is a stark improvement on his part.
So in apology tour stolas said "your little friend striker" he dint know that he tryed to kill him witch means he also dint know about blitz and striker being actually friendly he wasn't there. So stolas just took a minute after saying he dosnt look down on blitz to be a little racist agin wonder if that's part of why blitz blew up.
Helluva fans who can't handle the whiplash of the will they wount they wouldn't have survived star vs the forces of evil back in the day.
