CtC 8 - Fight the fear We arrived in Rustboro City and mostly everyone knew what we would do here. A gym waited for us, after all. But the only one who could take down the gyms Stone-Pokémon was Cassy, everyone else didn't know a effective move or was weak against them. The Mudkip wasn't sure about it and was totally scared. Bella gave her the best pep talk ever: Sweety, we all have fears but we mustn't run away from them so they only will get stronger. Sometime in our life there is a moment who make us shine like a star and we live for this only moment, in this moment we can show what's inside us. Work thereon to be a star, sweety. With every Pokémon of Rexanne she defeated, Cassy gained confidence. But as the Nosepass hit and burried her with a Rock Tomb, I believed the worst. A bright light from the stone pile was the thing that gave us our hope back. Water defeated the Nosepass and instead of a Mudkip a Marshtomp stood right in front of us. Not only did we win the badge, but Cassy also evolved! It was a great day!

Stone Badge GET!

First time playing Alpha Sapphire. First time playing any of the non gen V games. It's been fun so far. Not sure what to expect.

I found a Taillow with Boomburst. That thing hits hard! My team was barely level 9 when we encountered him at level 15, so he just kept one shoting my Pokemon, heh. I just kept throwing pokeballs and caught him on the 4th try!

Badge #1: Stone Badge

Entering the Gym and... Did Roxanne de-age or something? Or is it the new clothes? Either way, she looks more of a school girl than a teacher. Is this how they pick Gym Leaders now? Find the brightest in the school and say, "Hey, you may be underage, but how would you like to run a Gym? You must qualify because you went to school for this!"

Speaking of the Pokémon school, she inserted a shameless plug about it. I guess I shouldn't mention that I hate the idea of the school to begin with? (Blame the anime episode from way back when.)

And we get a view of the Gym and- Holy shit. Where did you get the money for these renovations? Because the museum part is cool and all, but you guys brought in a cliff. A fucking cliff. With statues that go from floor to ceiling. What the fuck?

Lemme just battle the minions... One of them says that she's number two at the school, implying that Roxanne is number one. So Roxanne is a student? This is confirmation, right?

(Beat the girl, and she then says something along the lines of, "Now I'm number three!" So apparently the school accepted me without my knowledge or consent. Awk.)

Hello, Roxanne. How- Wait, how come you don't get a 3D model? And why the fuck does Brendan get one? Seriously?!

And you're Pokémon... Well, for starters, she only has two. And they're under level. How'd were you chosen for Gym Leader again? (If you can't answer that, can you explain why Geodude floats? Is he like Magneto?)

Badge is shiny. This is okay. The Rock Tomb TM is also nice. Because throwing boulders at your enemies is Roxanne approved. :D
