I have a feeling we need more stonepunk content around these lands ngl

GIMME DINOSAURS AND AND ICE AGE AND COOL STUFF AND ANTEDILUVIAN AND—
Justin Sweet
Isekai except you land in a high fantasy neolithic period and run into the morally dubious leader of a fairly large hunting group
I feel the main reason Stonepunk isn't as popular as other genres of it's ilk is because noone has a clear idea of what the "punk" aspect actually looks like. What does a stonepunk hero rebel against?
The passive harshness of nature. The world is filled with countless dangers and death lurks behind every tree. Nature is not cruel, but it is not always fair either. On a whim, the universe may decide to undo all it has made, including you. But are you truly powerless to stop it?
The encroachment of civilization and it's trappings. Nomadic tribes come together to form villages, villages merge to become cities. Man works together to ensure their mutual survival and begin to harvest nature's bounties at a rate greater than it can keep up with. Megafauna are dissapearing and forests are becoming smaller. Men invent gods and claim to speak on their behalf. Men slay other men enmass to take what they have, even when they already have plenty. Surely it cannot be worse, but do you take that chance?
"Stick some gears on it, call it Steampunk" but for other genres.
Stick more gears on it, call it Clockpunk.
Stick some grilles on it, call it Dieselpunk.
Stick some neon tubes on it, call it Cyberpunk.
Ship-of-Theseus it down to a bunch of sticks, call it Stonepunk.
Stick some gears on it and bury it in the desert for a week, call it Cattlepunk.
I tried to figure out the stonepunk descriptor by asking for stonepunk pistols. It gave me a rock. Well played Midjourney. Well played.
