What's your opinion on Sandalpunk? Do you think it's disrespectful or a crude concept?
Interesting!!! I didn't know this was a genre and that it was called Sandalpunk! Like ooomg how am I learning of this now??
I haven't heard of any Greeks finding it disrespectful. On the contrary, we find it a very cool concept, and some Greeks have ideas for books or games that will experiment with such settings!
The changes in technology don't necessarily affect other important parts of our culture, so if we ever have any complaints, it won't be for the genre.
I personally loved Ryse: Son of Rome, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, and Hades for those elements, and I'm still looking forward to playing the God of War games and Immortals Fenyx Rising.
It's been a very long time since I've done a Machine Totem species picture like this, but I'm back with an illustration of two satyrs. In my world they are a race of daimons who have an ancient rivalry with humans.
Gardani mother
It has been a really long time since I have done anything from my fantasy universe!! I wanted to revisit this idea.
The Gardani are a matriarchal culture I based on Minoans among others. Bovine themes and the later archer mercenaries of Crete.
Any mercenary who returns from Sang is more than likely to return with tattoos.
Presented without dialogue and minimal context, here is the first page of a storyboard I commissioned for a scene from my book, Phobos VII.
I will be releasing a page each day. On the final day (February 21, 2024), Phobos VII will be available for free.
