Stop Criticizing (Matthew 7:1–6) John MacArthur
STOP CRITICISING
I am so tired of people commenting about body image. They seem to notice only how big or small boobs and butts are, how slim or thick your waist is, if you have a thigh gap and a thigh brow, if your chick bones are sharp enough, if your hair are long enough, if you have a button nose or the pretty expressive eyes with the deep blue color, etc. For once I want to see people commenting about brains and personalities. Commenting about how beautiful a person is only from the inside.
Oh, Come ON!

Are people STILL up in arms about this? Seriously, Emma Bashers, this is the same character who stole his teacher’s credit card, hopped on a bus and crossed state lines to track down his birth mother when he was only ten. The same character who frequently snuck out of the house at night to do Operation Cobra stuff. And a few weeks earlier in the show’s timeline, he managed to make his way through the AU world BY HIMSELF to set things right, and managed to thwart a dangerous pirate like Blackbeard and masterminded Emma’s rescue from her Dragon Lily guarded prison in the process. Stop acting like Henry’s a helpless baby who needs someone to hold his hand and change his diaper. For crying out loud, there was even a deleted scene when Henry told both his mothers ‘hey, even if you try to make me stay, I’m just going to find my own way into the Underworld.’ Besides, it’s a freaking FANTASY SHOW! In many myths and fantasy shows, the protagonist is frequently 13 or 14 when they began their adventure. Harry Potter was 11 in The Philosopher’s Stone. Percy Jackson was 12 in The Lightning Thief. And there are probably lots more examples I can’t think of at the moment. Please, just stop calling Emma a bad mother because Henry’s a part of the Underworld expedition, especially since she, Regina, Snow, Charming and Robin are ALL allowing it.
I think all that matters right now is giving support to Kesha. Doesn’t matter if that’s by using words, money, or whatever the hell else. Stop criticizing what people are doing to help or not to help. Do what YOU can to help her and everyone who has been abused.
Spend more time loving

Techniques and ideas to keep yourself looking at the bright side whilst at work.
Surround yourself with positive images. Make your desk your own private happy getaway. Put up pictures of things that make you happy or that remind you of your goals to create a calming and positive environment.
Be constructive. Giving yourself cruel and unwarranted criticisms will not only put you in a bad mood it surely won't help you improve either. Be constructive in your criticisms of yourself so you can grow and learn.
Relax and let things happen. Sometimes the best way to deal with problems is to relax and let them take their course. Things can often appear to be a bigger deal than they really are and reminding yourself of this can help you to relax and not feel so stressed.
See it from another point of view. Change your pattern of thought by trying to see things from another point of view, whether it's your co-workers, your bosses or just someone impartial. It can help you see where you went wrong and understand why others might be upset.
Don't dwell. So you made a mistake. It happens to everyone. Don't dwell on your mistakes. Make peace with yourself and move on to other projects.
Believe in yourself. Want that promotion? Hoping to get that huge account? Believe that you can do it and it just might come true.
Avoid negative co-workers. Nothing can ruin a positive attitude like co-workers who bring out the negatives in everything. Avoid talking to those you know will only make you feel worse.
Truly believe you are the best at your job. If you're constantly looking for failures in your work and put on a sour attitude you're much more likely to actually be putting in a poor performance. If you think that you're good at your job you're much more likely to put in the effort and performance that will make you good.
Look for opportunity. In every failure there's an opportunity to improve. Spend time thinking of ways you can turn your setbacks at work into ways you can get ahead in the future.
