The ‘Soft life’ is really just about tricking your mind to love everything that your life has to offer. Choosing to see the positive in the job you work, the place you live, down to the very thing you probably absolutely dislike. And guess what, even if you dislike it, by adapting this mindset, you will began to see your life shift gears.

I see a lot of posts that go along the lines of "How do I initiate contact with this human in a polite way" and like, I know we're all terrified of first contact and the concept of being perceived as a weirdo™️, but just go for it. Tumblr is full of weirdos that want friends. Use the words you just typed into the void and message that crush, or mutual, or follower, or whatever they are. Honestly, just do it. Getting to know someone is fun. Being alone with yearning is awful. You have to try. Enough with the "I wish someone would contact me first" Dudes, everyone wants that! Just message these people already! Humans want interaction. That's ostensibly why we have these blogs, right? To share our interests with other humans. If you want to interact with that Star Trek blog, you have to actually interact. We all know likes do nothing. And reblogging isn't enough. Contact these people. Start a conversation. It's okay to start off with "Hey Star Trek blog do you think Data would win a fight against Captain America?" Make your friendships happen. You can't just wish into the ether and expect someone else to make the first move. I promise you, as long as you aren't a creep, you'll get a good reaction. I've made 7 new friends this year alone by DMing bloggers I find interesting. Please, just try to *make* friends instead of wishing you *had* friends. Be honest & friendly, and you'll make connections.
