Stop the Articles!

We need to stop Article 11, 12a, and 13! These new articles will change the internet for the worse. They will copyright almost everything in the EU which will affect everyone else from all around the world too. Lots (if not almost all) memes, Youtubers, and many other content creators from the EU will disappear from the face of the internet. I'm positive they will find the smallest and most littlest ways to strike down every content creator who obeys these articles! This will benefit big, famous companies and ONLY big, famous companies. I've never thought I could be interested in politics, but everything is changing with articles 13 and 11 of the copyright reform. I want to thank to Mrs. Julia Reda and all the Piratepartei for the fight for freedom of expression and free flow of informations in the digital world. We need more peple like her in EU parliament. Freedom is the most important thing that we can have, and therefore we should appreciate it and go to the EU elections and vote for people, who can really help us.

3 Million!

Only 3 days ago we could announce, that we hit 2.5 million signatures on our Petition. Today there are more than THREE MILLION and there is no end in sight! Three million - thats how many people signed our petition. Within less than one week we gained 1 million additional signatures. We are speechless and don't even know how we could possibly thank you all for your massive support! By now we aren't a small protest group anymore we are a movement which wants to preserve one of the most important technological achievements in the long term. Lately the reform gets alot of critique due to article 14 and its massive impact to europe as a location for software companies too. This shows us more clear than ever: the new copyright directive has massive negative consequences on multiple areas. For single users as well as the industry! And what EU citizens are thinking about it is in view of our petition unambiguous. It is your voice that could lead to a change and makes sure that even old politicians in the European Parliament will listen our concern.Without each individual one of you it wouldn't be possible to reach this massive milestone.
