A man once said "Semakin beranjak dewasa mimpi semakin mudah terlupa" Couldn't agree more on that. I barely remember how passionate I was about nature conservation. I love being in the middle of nowhere. Pack my stuffs and get lost. I was soooo in love with the ocean. I remember how I really really want to be a marine conservationist. I took my diving license, I read a lot, I subscribed dive magazine and I even applied for an internship in Manta Ray Conservation. I spoke up for #saveshark campaign in front of people just to get them understand that by consuming shark-fin soup we'll get nothing but sickness as sharks are prone to bioaccumulation through diet (biomagnification) as they incorporate metals very efficiently and that we are contributing in worsen ocean's life as our demand of shark fin will increase the rate of illegal shark finning and shark finning is totally cruel as the fisherman catch the shark only to take its fin and they'll throw the sharks away to the ocean and those sharks will slowly die. Well, I can feel my heart beats so fast by excitement while writing this caption. This is what I've been loving for. This picture was taken 2.5 years ago in Germany while I talked about #saveshark and #stopdolphinslaughter and apparently (and Thank God) it opened people's eyes about these matters. What do I do for a living right now, you might ask. Oh please, it's waaaay too far from what I've been dreaming of. But heey, I am not giving up on my dream. I'm waiting for the right time. I let Imperial College last year in purpose (I'll catch Oxford likely next time hahahaha). The point is, it's okay to take a break for a while and do something that you might don't want to do but you need to (and you have to) for the sake of everything as long as you still keep your dream right in front of your eyes and you do whatever it takes to make it come true. May the good things be upon us years ahead. Happy new year! (at Technische Universität Ilmenau)
