#sharktober Day 8 - Scoophead. They are a little-known species of smaller hammerhead shark that inhabit tropical waters, where it can be found in shallow, inshore habitats. They coexist with another two species of small hammerheads and are viviparous. The scoophead is caught commercially and sold as fresh fish or turned into fishmeal. They have been declared as Critically Endangered by the IUCN.
