#honestly i mean there are legit flaws with it #but like #i wore it the other day because i was running errands in town and it was so hot and i was immediately overstimulated just stepping outside #and i had to go into a big department store i rarely go into and sure enough i got disoriented and stressed #because heat + busy bright shop = wait where are the tills where the exists ahhh #and everyone i interacted with was way more patient with me than i'm used to #not like patronising #just like #i'd be like i'm sorry i swear my wallet is in here somewhere one sec #and they'd be like oh don't worry at all :)#and it was fine #anyway i did feel self-conscious broadcasting I AM DISABLED to ever passer by #(because i don't look it #which is of course the point of the lanyard but abled people don't seem to get that)#but it also really helps to broad I AM DISABLED when you're standing in the middle of a busy shop looking blankly around bc your brain #stopped working #esme.txt
