Solo EP Progress
Guys, I'm wide awake right now after crashing around midnightish. That's when I got home from recording more of my solo EP yesterday. I'm listening to what was tracked so far in the two sessions and it's really coming together. I'm so excited to finish it next week and let it go into mixing.
I recorded four songs which all have different, but similar influences ranging from reggae, indie, punk, grunge, folk, and more. All the vocals and instruments on it so far except the drum kit are performed by me.
It's seriously going to be kickass. I experimented a lot on this project. Three of the songs are ones I've written over the past few months (intentionally or not) and one is an old one from 2007. I have a lot of content, but I wanted my EP to flow nicely... so I picked accordingly. I really am interested to see how people respond, because it's my first hi-fi release of a solo album (I've only recorded one solo song otherwise previously years ago). Most of my recordings are low-fi and some people might not take it seriously enough.
