Amidst a series of three back-to-back errands on foot, I found fresh storm fall that was definitely different from the other pine cones I urbanly-gleaned, and with fat, fresh drops of resin all over.

This is me preparing for my last final exam.

Let's Talk About: Storm Fall by Tracy Banghart
My review of the amazing Storm Fall by Tracy Banghart
Aris Haan gave up everything to join the Atalantan Military: her family, her boyfriend, even her identity. In the end, though, it didn’t matter that she was a war hero. When the all-male Military discovered that she was actually a woman, she was sent home and erased from history.
Now she has a chance to go back to the battlefield—as herself. But as hard as it was to be a soldier in disguise,…

Storm Fall
(Review thanks to a free digital ARC from NetGalley)
The sequel to Rebel Wing, this book starts off a couple of months after the resolution of the previous installment of the series. Aris deals with even more struggles within the military and her country than ever before. Her skills will be tested and she risks her life even more trying to protect her loved ones and her country.
This review will be kept short and sweet since I don't want to give out too many spoilers of the previous novel. Like I mentioned before, this book starts off a couple of months after the events in the first novel are resolved. Sequels tend to not be as good as its predecessor and this was definitely not the case.
Very fast-paced, this book keeps you on your toes for its entirety. You don't really know what is going to happen because anything can go wrong and you just don't know what to expect. This book builds on the events that happened in the first novel, so it adds more to the world that we are introduced to.
Another thing that I loved about this series, and it definitely shows more in this book, it is how feminist it is. It goes women joining the military and dealing with the harassment of men not being accepting of this new law that is implemented. However, the women in this novel continue to push for their right to be able to make their own decisions, which in can also include being part of the military. It shows how women can be so much more than just housewives. But if they want to do that, that is also fine. I forgot to mention this in my other review but this feminist aspect of the series is seen more in this novel.
I highly recommend this series. Trust me, it gets even better. I know the author is currently writing a third novel for the series, which is set to be released in 2015. As far as I know, there isn't any release date or even a title or book cover. Just another book to add to my expected releases of 2015.
My rating is
4.5/5

As part of my resolution to post better and regular content, I’ve decided to make this little series and post it every Sunday (hopefully). It’s going to be a sort of status update on this week’s reading events and stuff.
Weekly Stack:
(Apologies for my obviously unpro photography skills – will work on it. But seriously, how pretty are the covers -fangirls-)

Dear Paul
I couldn't find your message boxes on your tumblr. So I have to do things from here.
As for your game Storm fall. I kind of like how the game play is actually like. It's like a mix the PC warcraft games (like Frozen Throne) and those breeding facebook games. I also enjoyed the humor you put in the announcer's voice for when doing tasks. It's rather rare do I see games with such a comedic make sense tone. Even though the situation is meant to be serious, at least the announcer could make some humor to help cool things down to not give the player's stress. Would like to see more games like these in the future. Helps players get a more strategic mind.
I read that book! NYPD red! Just because it seemed so similar to Caslte and after Patterson was on the show.... It actually was kinda similar but still a good book on its own :)
Thanks for the review, anon! I did flip the book over to have a quick look at the blurb, it did look quite good. But I still need to finish Storm Fall (which I’ve been neglecting because of reading all the Ficathon stories, whoops!) so… Maybe I’ll pick it up at the airport on Saturday.
