it's funny though because one of her friends who was over a few weeks ago made a similar comment and I was like dude you're like 12 it's literally impossible for you to remember the 90's you didn't exist back then

Cheerleader thing. Though what I found odd in my school is that the cheerleaders would wear their tops in school all day on game days.
That's what I figured
I just had to ask because sometimes in fiction, stuff that seems made up is actually based on truth.
That's kind of similar to what they would do at my school. They didn't wear their uniform tops, but they did have cheerleader t shirts that they had to wear on game days and pep rally days.
