I love Vaegon so much he is such a hater
isn't he so funny bc like. yes he is a meaniepants but also. he doesn't hate any particular person he just straight up hates everyone. hands rated e for everyone vibes. i can respect that. i also just love grumpy old people they're so cute.
now for my little vaegon soapbox: i actually don't even think he's that mean. this is obvs just a headcanon but his comment about daella reminded me so strongly of the type of shit my (autistic) brother says. like my brother will call it like he sees it even if descriptors like unattractive or unintelligent are involved bc his mind prioritizes honesty. it truly doesn't register as an insult in his mind and he's often confused when people take it that way.
that's not to say vaegon isn't a sourpuss (bc he is) but his bluntness and the way nobody ever seemed able to understand or like him just felt so neurodivergent coded to me lol. he's also canonically aroace which is rad.
