Okay, I have a ship fanart question.

Even my mom, a white middle aged woman, thought that r*ylo kiss unnecessary and not fitting of the story. She also said that Finn and Poe and Rey ended all together and that Rose was involved with them too (she had some good galaxy brain there and I stan).

So, hey Disney, even someone middle aged who was raised in a small town in the middle of nowhere and to be catholic (not that that ever worked tho) saw through your obligatory and forced heterosexual relationship and ended up shipping the first polyamorous relationship in her whole life.

All in all, all this was to say that that r*ylo kiss was unnecessary and uncalled for and just there to "redeem" that kyle ren bc a girl fixed him (utter bs) and that stormpilotjedi+rose is canon and going strong after everything.

Bc to quote my mom about her polyam ship:

"They all deserve to love and to be loved by someone who has been there from the start and to never feel or be miserable and alone again."

ok but imagine: jedistormpilot hairdresser AU

poe works at the guatemalan embassy in london under ambassador organa and he can’t find a hairdresser to save his life because his hair’s super curly and no one knows how to cut it so it doesn’t look like a hot mess 

and he asks around and finally leia’s like “i have a friend who goes to such-and-such place and has the same kind of hair”

so poe goes to the salon or whatever and enter finn 

finn is a hairstylist he’s very busy busy clipping and- ok I’ll stop now

poe suddenly discovers that he likes wearing his hair short short enough that he has to go get it trimmed at least once a month maybe even once a week it has nothing to do with the cute hairdresser nope

and meanwhile finn slowly falls in love with poe, too it’s hard for him because he was raised by american-style evangelical christians- the kind that seem really culty and weird outside of the US- and he is repressed as all hell

they talk a lot while poe is getting his hair done. a lot of it is about football.

because i like bickering so things don’t get too saccharine, they root for opposing teams. like bitter rivalry opposing. they bicker and joke about it a lot

also fashion, and the places poe’s traveled, and funny stories finn has from the people who go to get their hair cut, and after a while anything and everything

meanwhile rey works for a charity that gives haircuts and clean suits to homeless people for free so they can get jobs more easily

(she’s really passionate about it because she used to be homeless)

and she goes and asks the manager of finn’s salon if she can get some of the people who work there to volunteer for her charity and of course finn jumps on the chance because he’s the kindest person in the goddamn world

and so the three of them see each other a lot and finn and poe both start falling for rey 

and they start hanging out outside of work

little things. going and seeing a movie. playing fifa at finn’s place. (rey is the best at fifa, she’s terrifying. do not play fifa with rey unless you want to get curbstomped.) going out dancing. (poe can and will dance for hours.) 

and eventually they have The Talk- the “hey we all like each other, are we going to do something about it?” talk.

they go on a few dates that actually are dates and the first time finn dresses up really nice cos it’s, you know, a date. luckily poe and rey both think it’s the cutest damn thing.

around this time poe’s hair miraculously starts growing out again.

finally they all move in together and have a bed the size of a small field so they can all cuddle at the same time and they keep doing all the things they were doing before only as a triad now

and they all live happily ever after
