Winter storm is hitting. My area less than others but its still stormy and windy out. Which, I dont mind. I've always liked storms. I love the electric energy, and find them soothing. But something shifted after becoming a parent. My baby isn't so little anymore but still, has a tendency to wake when the weather gets rough and come running to me for safety and reassurance. Which is cute and sweet and I will love the moments when im reminded they are still young and still need me. But as it is, I can't enjoy the storm and can't sleep, because I have one ear open for the little running footsteps. Sigh. I miss sleeping 😴
