As the final bell rang, M’gann began to gather up all her belonging. Neatly stuffing them into her bag, as she stood up from her desk. Hawkins, Indiana had seemed to be the perfect little town to finally settle in. With an average school district, along with the cheap mobile home she had found along the out skirts. M’gann began falling into her own routine: school, then work, finally home.
Although she enjoyed the few trips into town for food, M’gann had clearly adopted the label of mysterious new girl in town. Which hadn’t bothered her as much as she thought when she first heard it whispered in the halls. As she passed by her classmates, M’gann merged into the sea of hustling teenagers, before breaking away to her locker. She squeezed against the door, turning the dial til the lock clicked open: allowing her to shove her un-needed books inside.
As the halls cleared up, M’gann stepped out the front steps of her highschool to see the buses already departing. It might have been less work riding them, she thought as she walked over to unlock her bike from the rack. Though she doubted it would be faster with all the stops before her own. She set her bag in the front wicker basket, pulling out her day planner to see if she had work that night. It seemed she had the evening off; though her pockets weren’t deep for groceries either.
“Fudge.” She cursed under her breath, kicking the rack with her foot. The attack landed her with a sore foot and the bike rack still intact.
