What if I made an aesthetic for every single Robbie Kay character I have ever had a crush on (with some background hints of the OC’s I ship them w)? Huh? Like…. Like what then? What THEN?

Mom how do you ao3
It's difficult! Family and work stuff has become more demanding, so fewer updates.
But I try!
Also, a lot of coffee.
Day 26: JOMPBPC: Bookish Goodies
I just found out (from Nostalgia critic of all things) that "Nunnery" was Elizabethan Slang for a brothel. So that means when Hamlet told Ophelia "Get thee to a nunnery!" he's calling her a slut in two possible ways. 1. In that she needs to cloister herself up with nuns because she's impure or... 2. Because she's so slutty she might as well go to a brothel. This is almost as interesting as the obvious Bottom = ass joke with the donkey ears in A Midsummer Night's dream. Also Jack Sparrow mistaking a convent for a brothel in Pirates of the Caribbean Stranger Tides isn't just a throw away joke now. Based on the language of the era, he misunderstood being told the place was a nunnery.
I never got around to seeing Dead Men Tell No Tales so I’ve been gearing up for it by marathoning the PotC movies and, let me tell you, the steep decline in quality that comes with Stranger Tides is so much more jarring and disappointing when you watch it immediately after At World’s End that I’m starting to reconsider even watching DMTNT altogether to avoid exposing myself further to this depressing downward spiral of a beloved franchise
Went back to watch PotC: Stranger Tides to see Daddy Ian McShane and was reminded of how adorable and wonderful Mr. Gibbs is. And how I find him also attractive...so there were 3 daddys for me in Stranger Tides. Barbossa(whom I've crushed on for years), Blackbeard, and Gibbs.
This is a Mr. Gibbs appreciation post and I hope I'm not the only one out there who things he is good Daddy material. 😍💜
