God damn, it hurt. Nursing her wounds in the foliage of a local park was not ideal for the woman, and yet, here she was. Her body was littered with scratches, liquid crimson seeping out of several of them— especially the deeper ones. Too deep. It had gotten to the point where she needed to get the hell out of there and get back to the Warren. But her pride, ah, it had convinced her that she could tough it out on her own... until a thorny branch from the brush she’d hidden behind moved in just the right way to slice one of her barely-healing wounds clean open. She cried out, immediately clapping her hand over her mouth. Shit.

The sky looked eerie
I ran outside in a skirt, no shoes, in the freezing cold with my camera to take a couple pictures of the spooky looking sky earlier. Worth it.

They know when to be sweet and affectionate but can snap when in protection mode. Also they “will eat anything.”
...That probably includes caterpillars, I’m guessing. Which, by the way, I was able to get the pictures I needed of hatching from the cocoon and got a nice butterfly shot, so I guess if you absolutely HAVE to, they’re all fair game now.
