Think twice how to use CTAs and USPs as strategic elements of your website. Here is a little refresher of the two terms. Call to Action (CTA) may be a popup box or simply an image with compelling or catchy lines to make your leads sign up. CTA should be positioned strategically on your website so as not to appear annoying to visitors. Leads are more likely to click on the action button when offered something that would benefit them such as free guide, free assessment, free trial etc. Remember that the obtained contact list is like your business asset. On the other hand, the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is a marketing concept that differentiates a product or service from the rest. Putting yourself in the shoes of consumers would help you identify your USP. Theodore Levitt, a Harvard Business School professor, said that “Differentiation is one of the most strategic and tactical activities in which companies must constantly engage.'' Identify your USP and incorporate it with your company tagline. Maximize your website by having a good understanding of CTA and USP.
