"As the professor was nearing the end of his speech he could see Rosie’s expression. She would be talking about the angel that got away for the next month if he didn’t do something.

Just as the girl began to gather her things, Hunter snatched Rosie’s notebook out of her hands.

“What are you doing?” Rosie whispered.

But it was too late, Hunter chucked the notebook onto the table next to the mystery girl. 

Rosie’s face flushed as she began furiously signing to Hunter, “What was that for! I need that notebook, it’s got like, all my stuff in it!” 

Hunter gave a coy smile before signing “Well then I guess you’ll have to go get it.”

Rosie turned her attention back to the notebook and… Oh crap, she’s reading it."

My take on their canon relationship: I think it’s kind of different in both of their eyes! To me, Duna sees Rosie as Hunter’s friend that she also had the pleasure of befriending when she met him for the first time, but for Rosie while she genuinely does like Duna and consider her a friend, she also has this totally one-sided rivalry with her because she’s Rosie, drama queen supreme and thinks Duna will replace her as Hunter’s friend.

Do I ship them: I ship both Duna x Hunter and Rosie x Hunter but there is plenty of room in my heart for this cute ship too!! Yes yes!

Reasons why I do/don’t ship them: I don’t really have any reasons for not because I do ship them in some cases (I’m a multishipper who’s often happy with lots of different pairings except for the one top pair I have and refuse to change) but

1. Double pink! I know design is kind of a dumb reason to ship characters but let’s just... combine the pink

2. I like the idea of them both crushing on Hunter, being competition to each other and then realizing “oh wait, maybe I actually kind of like you”

3. I just like the dynamic of the stoic one and their emotional rollercoaster of a partner who is capable of reaching the peak of joy in their life, laugh harder than they ever have before, and go through all five stages of grief in exactly five minutes

Random headcanon: Rosie teaches Duna a lot about human fashion! While Dinaurians have no real need for clothes since they have their hologram disguises, Rosie is insistent on gifting Duna with all kinds of clothes. Because of her, Duna is actually kind of warming up to the idea of wearing clothes just for fun. And of course with everything Duna tries on Rosie instantly reacts like this.

How much do I ship them (%): I’d say a good 60 percent!

“Yes, that is a good idea.” Duna responded, sitting at the table. She turned her attention to their food, “What is this? An extra cannoli?” 

Rosie’s heart skipped a beat as she sat across from Duna. “What? Oh look at that, ha ha… Angelo must have given us an extra one.” 

Duna’s gaze shifted from the cannoli, to Rosie, then back to the cannoli. “So, what happened?”

Rosie pulled at the collar of her shirt, her most obvious tell unbeknownst to her. “No- Nothing! I have no idea how that happened. He must have just given us an extra one since we’re such… loyal customers?”

“Rosie.” Duna said, “you know you are a terrible liar.” She looked Rosie up and down, taking in all 14.5 of her tells.

Rosie relented. “Ok fine, Angelo might have said some… not so nice things about Dinaurians, and I may have…  corrected his views.” She paused, “And he probably felt bad about it, and that’s why we have an extra cannoli in our box.” Rosie trailed off.
