👢 These boots. I bought these at a strawberry 🍓 (clothing) store in lower Manhattan when I was 16 on a road trip with my dad that we took over the summer before my senior year of high school (in a car that cost $100! More on that story another time 😂), because I was determined to go back to the east coast once I graduated, but had never actually been since we moved when I was a baby. That was a memory-making and influential trip for me in many ways, and in the years (and decades!!) since, these boots have been with me from NYC to Htown to LA and back again. From the middle of a pit at a punk show off st marks to the @houstonlivestock rodeo, to celebrity-stuffed parties in the Hollywood Hills in the late 90’s- these boots have seen a lot. Last night they rocked again with me at @thehotelcafe to see @alicesmithmusic - who, by the way, is an INCREDIBLY talented singer and performer that you should absolutely go see if you ever get the chance! (I know I look goofy here, but whatever. I do love my boots. 😂) . These kicks have come with me all over the country and they are the #1 reason why I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for @stevemadden and their footwear. Thanks for making some kick ass boots.
