The kettle was taking far too long to boil for Jisung, he didn't want to be out of his room any longer than he absolutely had to. The boys were all home which meant he was getting bombarded with questions about what the two of you were planning on doing for the night. He knew he should have taken you up on your offer to stay at your place for the night. At least if you were there you could be alone and at peace.
"You're just going to eat and watch anime all night long?" Chan quizzed as he watched Jisung from the living room. Chan's eyes were trained on Jisung and the fact that right now he didn't look the most comfortable since all of the boys were grilling him. This happened every time you came to stay for the night - or two.
"Yes, we're going to keep our TV quiet so we don't bother you either," Jisung explained as he began grabbing different take-out menus to take to you in his bedroom. You were busy setting up the room while Jisung was in charge of everything else.
Mostly because you didn't want to have to deal with the teasing you would get from the boys, it had been a long day and all you wanted was to curl up with your boyfriend and forget everything that had happened.
"I'm just saying, maybe you could take them somewhere, on a real date Jisung..." Changbin stated as he walked through the kitchen door to stand beside Jisung watching his friend with a careful eye. Jisung on the other hand was doing everything he could to avoid having this conversation with the members. He knew that they didn't exactly see the appeal in what you and Jisung liked to do but it was none of their business. Your dates were special to the two of you and it didn't matter what they - or anybody else - thought about them.
The two of you were as close as any two people could be and you had a deep understanding of one another. You knew what the other person wanted and needed in your relationship. It was one of those nights where both you and Jisung were drained from so many social interactions of the day and wanted nothing more than to be left alone but with each other, while you recharged.
"But that's not what me and Yn like, we prefer to be inside." Jisung glanced over at his band member before turning his attention back to the boiling water and pouring it into a teapot. He knew he wasn't supposed to let what they were saying get to him but it was hard sometimes.
Jisung had doubts that this was what you wanted to do every time you were together and he didn't need anybody else drilling more doubt into him.
The two of you were huge introverts and enjoyed spending your time inside rather than out in the open doing over the top things. It was relaxing and special enough for you to spend time alone at home together.
"You say that but what if they really want to go out and do things and you're holding them back." Changbin wasn't trying to be mean when he said it to Jisung, he just wanted his member to see that there was more to dating than staying indoors all of the time.
"Binnie," Chan warned as he glanced over at the boys, his eyes quickly going back down to the laptop on his lap he was way behind on work and didn't need to play the role of the father right now,
"I'm not holding them back, if Yn wanted to do something else they would tell me," Jisung explained as he finally began to gather everything up so he could leave the kitchen and the boy's judgemental comments.
"But you could be. When was the last time you asked Yn what they wanted to do with their night? Did you even ask them if they wanted this tonight?!" Changbin called out a little louder since Jisung was already at his bedroom door, opening it and kicking it shut with a little too much force just to show he was pissed off at them.
"Leave him alone, if they're happy that's all that matters...It's none of our business what they do and doesn't do with their time," Chan told Changbin with a stern look, shaking his head as Changbin grumbled something under his breath.
Once the door was shut Jisung closed his eyes, wanting nothing more than to forget about the conversation but the words played over in his mind. Did it bother you that he didn't take you out that much? The last time you went out for a date he took you to Nami Island and the two of you had an amazing time. Did you miss that? Was he holding you back?
"Sungie?" Your eyes glanced at your boyfriend who looked as though he was about to start crying, his eyes slowly fluttered open and he let out a small gasp.
"W-When did you do all of this?" Jisung's voice barely came out as a whisper as he finally took in the appearance of his bedroom and you felt your body heating up. While he'd been preparing things for the movie marathon you'd been getting the room ready.
There were sheets hanging from the ceiling, hiding all of the furniture inside of the room to make it look as though you'd create a giant blanket fort. The floor was lined with more blankets and pillows as well as two bean bags for the two of you to move onto if the floor wasn't comfortable enough.
"While you were in the kitchen, let me show you the best part." You got a little giddy as you rushed to grab a tiny remote from beside the TV and his chest swelled a little hearing your excited laugh. Jisung's eyes found yours and he couldn't help but forget everything Changbin had been saying outside. It was obvious how happy you were with the arrangement since your eyes sparkled and you had a giant grin on your face.
"Go for it," He laughed softly as he noticed you holding the remote up for him to see. As soon as the words left his mouth you clicked a small red button and fairy lights began to twinkle around the blanket room you'd created.
"Our own space." You told him as you pulled him down to the floor with you, carefully pouring you both a small cup of tea as he kept his eyes on you. It was warming for him to see you enjoying this all but he still had to ask the question, he needed to know if it really bothered you that you didn't go out much.
The two of you spent most of your time either at the dorms or at your apartment doing exactly this. Movie or Anime marathons while eating so much food Jisung knew he would get in trouble with his manager if they ever found out but he loved it. With you, he always felt as though he could do anything he wanted even if it was just falling asleep with you for a little while.
"An introvert's dream." He chuckled weakly, passing you the menus for you to take a look through but you knew your boyfriend better than anyone. You knew that weak laugh meant that there was something bothering him and you would be damned if you didn't get to the bottom of it. Placing the menus down on the floor you shook your head,
"What's going on? Do you have to go to work?" You questioned, remembering the time he was dragged into work late one night because of a mistake he'd made and he didn't know how to tell you. He'd waited until you fell asleep before sneaking out of the room and to work.
"N-No. I-" He looked at you and let out a small sigh, if he didn't ask you now he was just going to be clouded over all night and not be able to enjoy himself.
"I want you to know that we don't have to do this. We can go out if you want, I can take you anywhere you like." You frowned hearing him talk like this. Jisung and you had an understanding that going out wasn't a huge deal for you. A date inside his room was more than enough to satisfy you.
"I'm already where I want to be." You said slowly, gesturing around the room with what you had done to make each other comfortable here.
"But if you're doing this just because of me I don't want you to. I want to do things you enjoy." Your hand rested on top of his as you shook your head at him, there was no way you were doing this just because you knew he wanted to. You did it before you BOTH wanted to do this.
"Jisung...I do enjoy this. I enjoy spending time with you and being myself with you. Taking naps with you, cuddling up to you and just getting to recharge while I spend time with you...You know we're both introverts." You let out a long breath as he stared at you, his hand squeezing yours as his eyes narrowed a little.
"You're sure?"
"I've never been more sure about anything else in my entire life. I love you and I love spending time like this." You motioned around you both again ut you could tell Jisung still wasn't majorly convinced.
"The boys said-"
"The boys don't know me as you do, they don't understand that we don't like to go out all of the time." Your hand touched his chest as you rubbed softly, his whole body releasing the tension he had been holding in since the kitchen.
"Can we lay down and watch some of "your name" before we order something to eat? I want to cuddle my absolutely adorable boyfriend." He let out a small laugh before laying down with his head on the bean bags behind him, bringing you to rest on his chest as you both settled in for the best night ever.
