Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship
- Luffy likes to tackle hug Law whenever they meet up. He throws his whole being into it and Law reacts in two ways. Either he teleports out of Luffy’s trajectory or he takes it. When he does kind of accept the hug he often staggers but Luffy has yet to fully knock him off of his feet.
- Once Luffy tried to steal Law’s onigiri. Law cut his hands off in retaliation. The Straw Hats were horrified but Luffy found it hilarious, laughing in joy when Law reattached them the wrong way around.
- Law and Luffy did end up having a conversation when Luffy woke up after his heart surgery. It was the night before Luffy went on his grief induced rampage. They talked about loss, about grief, and Law did his best to console Luffy in his own, emotionally stunted way. After all, he knows what it is like to lose a sibling, he understands that pain. Law doesn’t think Luffy remembers that conversation.
- Law believes this luck that keeps letting Luffy succeed will run out eventually. He’s not sure if he wants to be there when it happens so he can try to mitigate the damage or whether he should make sure his crew is as far away from the Straw Hats as possible. He fears his family will be swept up in the fallout of all that luck turning bad and they’ll be the ones that pay the price.
