It was just a joke.
Robin leaned over the bathroom sink, her trembling hands gripping the sides of it with force, and stared at herself in the mirror. She was dreadfully ashen, sweat dripping down her forehead and the back of her neck, dark purple bags underneath her eyes - an indication of how long it had been since she’s had a good night’s sleep.
It was just a joke.
The wave of nausea came almost instantly over her. She emptied her stomach’s contents into the sink, trying not to cringe at the sight of it, at the unnatural purples and reds it was. Just as she straightened herself back up, she looked into the mirror - and promptly fell down.
It was just a joke.
She couldn’t look at the mirror - nor her nakama - anymore. It would be fine if she could just play it off as what it was intended to be, a joke, but she didn’t - she hadn’t - it wasn’t just a joke.
Robin had seriously intended to harm her crewmates. The ones who had saved her from certain damnation, who proved to her the Saul’s words were not lies - she wanted to hurt them. To kill them. For what? Her mind must be slipping. That was the only explanation, because there was no way she, in her right mind, would attack one of her friends.
She curled up into a ball and leaned against the bathroom wall, shaking violently.
What was wrong with her?
