I’d been invited to try @indianstreetkitchen 5 months ago, and it’s taken me this long to finally cross paths with them (im a very busy human). But my god, it was worth the wait. This is the Raan Burger. 6 hour slow cooked free range leg of lamb, marinated with Indian spices, pulled and smoked, served with rocket, homemade wasabi, jalapeño, sour cream, crispy shallots, in the softest nicest bun I’ve ever had a burger in. This burger definitely brings the heat, but it wasn’t uncomfortable at all, but the LAMB OMG it was so tasty. The sour cream adds a perfect coolness, the crispy shallots add an all important crunch, I loved this burger. Indian style burgers always take my fancy. After feeling that @dajastreetfood hit slightly under the mark at @kerbfood Bucket List, they invited me back down to get the real experience, and I’m so glad I did. I caught them at @halalgems #StreetEatsFest a couple of weeks ago. Crispy on the outside, juicy in the middle, and a perfect amount of heat and spices. Those spicy seasoned fries underneath catch all the juices from the chicken and sauces. It’s a shame that @darlishicecream are out in St Albans and not central London, because their choice of flavours are INCREDIBLE. Luckily I caught them at @halalgems #StreetEatsFest though. This is Persian ice cream, which means the flavour combinations are heavenly. Tahini, coconut & barberry, orange blossom & pistachio, Muscovado & molasses, saffron Rosewater & pistachio.
