Kits come in options of for 2 and for 4 and range from £18 up to £35. I’ve been a fan and friend of GBK for many years and for me they are the best of the chains. 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍔 @pattyandbun and @swingersldn have teamed up to give you the ultimate Date Night with their burger and cocktail kit! 🍸 The box comes with all the ingredients to make a Smokey Robinson and Ari Gold, @pattyandbun’s most loved burgers, all you have to do is add the lettuce and tomato. Unless you are me and you opt out of that part 😛. @swingersldn then provide the goods to make a couple of Summer Citrus Daiquiris. I thought this would just come pre made, but it wouldn’t be a date night if it didn’t mean getting creative with your other half. So this is all about starting from scratch. You have to juice the fruit, make the syrup, and combine it all together whilst doing your best Tom Cruise in Cocktail impression. The kit says 4x cocktails, but we did only manage to get 2 out of it, but to be honest with the 250ml of rum they provide this was more than enough to keep you going. Just a note, make sure you have a juicer, because juicing fruit with your bare hands isn’t really a great option, as I found out. Then @londonbylora reminded me that we have a blender... 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 | @heritage_london is London’s first Swiss restaurant, and the theme is very much cheese 🧀. Whether it be fondue or raclette, or Rosti dishes and lots of truffle, every dish will have you gushing. The pricing is higher than my usual spots, but it’s definitely justified, whether it be the look of the restaurant, the detailed service, or the quality of the food. If you go you 100% HAVE to get the meat fondue platter. Sausage and steak dipped into the creamiest cheese that could wrap cheese pulls around the whole of soho. But what you see pictured is the burger. 🍔 The Trenchmore Wagyu Burger, with raclette, foie gras, truffle & bacon jam, sweet onion, and pickles. It’s a very nice tasting burger, I feel that the foie gras got lost a bit inside it, maybe because with the cheese and the bacon jam being quite strong in character it was hard to pick it out. I think the patty itself could have done with a bit more seasoning and cooked a bit less. Mine was slightly on the dry side. It didn’t necessarily change my overall opinion on the burger tasting good, because it’s full of flavour, but I think with the £28 price tag I want to see that meat quality shine through everything else. So my advice would be to ask to have it as rare as possible, medium rare at most. I would definitely like to try it again, just a bit juicier. A few people have asked me if it’s overpriced. I’d say the restaurant itself is definitely more premium than places I go to, and the quality of dishes is there, so I do justify the price,I would just want it to be perfect. With just over a week to go you can check out a menu with dishes like punjabi cheeseburger samosas, butter chicken loaded fries, gobi wings, tandoori jerk chicken lasagne, and a Punjabi cheeseburger with tandoori bacon. Yep, I said tandoori bacon, which is an AMAZING idea. I was impressed with the quality of the beef, it’s a good burger. But there’s absolutely no way you’re gonna come here and not get the lasagne or loaded chicken fries. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 | @honestburgers continue their collaboration with the biggest names in London street food with @motherclucker. Available until the end of April, you can get your hands on this at every Honest Burgers. It’s Mother Clucker’s signature free-range buttermilk fried chicken and homemade pepper sauce, with Honest Burgers’ double American cheese, bacon, lime mayo, lettuce and pickles. This was better than I expected. I liked the sauces, and the batter was crispy, and didn’t come away from the meat. I didn’t notice at the time, but they forgot the bacon. I can also blame myself for this though, it teaches me to pay more attention to what I’m actually eating. The bacon probably would have kicked it up a notch for me too. I think it all works really well with Honests bun. It’s an enjoyable burger, I don’t really have any complaints. It didn’t hit a wow factor with me though. It was good. I was a big fan of the chicken burger served up by @ley.leys, new guys just off Holloway Road. The next time at at a home game for @arsenal I know where I’ll be grabbing my pre match burger.
