That's awkward in Arabic letters ...اوكوارد

Awkward as in "Awkwardddd! Turns out I really need to lose some fat." Also, awkward as in: that awkward moment when you look at your reflection in the mirror of a thrift store changing room and you're like "excuse me, um no. That, on your legs is NOT ok." Awkward as in "hmm i wonder if when I interjected to say 'Athletic' he was gonna say big.

Take a Deep Breath

This morning I was reminded of the verse in Isaiah, Chapter 40 verse 31, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint".

And, this seemed to be the theme for my day.  I have been faced with many obstacles on today, and every time I was ready to say you know what?!?!@#$#%! There was a gentle reminder that if I step back and turn my problems over to the Lord, He will fight my battles.  So, after I sighed and took a breath I said okay Lord, you promised- I let things go.  Does this mean that all the rainbows showed up, the birds started singing and the heavens opened up and said all is well? No, but it does mean that while the problems were there, I could say I will not let this stuff ruin my day.  Lord you said to cast my cares on you, so its your problem you can handle that, and I could move on to the next thing.

And sure enough, after finally letting go and turning it over God was faithful!!!!!!! Just when it seemed like things were getting even more dim, I got that phone call! Hallelujah!!!

Although, some problems may not yield you instant fixes, trust that even when it looks almost hopeless God can still step in for you.

***I also have to add, that even though by the "world's standards" I was totally right, if I had done the Godly thing in the beginning I could have avoided part of this mess altogether.***#TruthHurtsSometimes
