Antonio: Bright silver eye mask, reflecting distorted images

Diego: Full face mask, the mouth decorated with rubies carved to resemble fangs.

Divina: Pink and white eye mask, matching feathers sticking out from the sides of the eye holes.

Jezabel: White eye mask, diamonds and sapphires around the eye holes

Luciano: Black and gold eye mask, chips of obsidian sparkling around the edges, actual gold sewn into the border.

Ricardo: Snow white eye mask, dove feathers layered delicately over it.

Santiago: Bird mask complete with a beak, feathers sweeping over the top of his head.

Sergio: The left side of an eye mask only, black with the moon on it.

Stella: The ride side of an eye mask, gold with the sun on it

If you're going to go correcting people, why don't you give an explanation of the Strex family?

Strex Family (by age)

Ricardo - 46 (physically) strexcorpking Patriarch of The Family, CEO/President of the West Division of Strex, archangel.

Sergio - 35 eruditexperimenterHead of re-education and Ricardo’s heir. It being groomed to take over for the patriarch. Not much is known about his past, except that he has been extensively re-educated (all the siblings from this point on have with the exception of the twins).

Luciano - 33 smilingindoctrinator Works in re-education under Sergio. Uses therapy to get his re-education to work, rather than simply relying on drugs. He is mysophobic, giggles when stressed or nervous, and has Synesthesia.

Diego - 33 scienceandstrex (ask/gif blog) themoreyoustrex (rp/gif blog) Works in (heads?) the Technology and Robotics department. The nanobots that are in Luc’s blood stream are his creation. He’s an alcoholic and has violent tendencies. Themoreyoustrex portrays him as sociopathic as well.

Divina - 33 mistress-strex CFO. Divina has a sense of morality that has begun to clash with the practices of Strex. She and Diego are yin and yang. Where Diego can be charming but is ultimately only in it for himself, Divina is a brat who genuinely cares for others.

**The twins are creations of Ricardo and Sergio, and contain some of their DNA. They are roughly 15 (and sometimes exhibit the mannerisms of that age), but are physically (and for the most part mentally) 33.

Santiago - 30 strexecutioner MD. Santiago is another “heart of gold” family member. He was beaten for reasons unknown in the past and was left permanently crippled. He suffers from nightmares and crippling paranoia as a result, to the point in which he fears leaving the house on a regular basis.

Antonio - 28 oh-cecil-oh (isn’t letting me mention, so here’s a link.)) Antonio is the family member I know the least about. He has a strong preference for knives over guns, and is very protective of Jezzy.

Jezebel - 18 strexcorpslittlemouse The baby of the family, Jezzy is currently studying re-education. She has a bad stutter and black-out episodes whenever overly stressed or nervous. During her episodes she can become very violent.

**There is a high probability that Antonio and Jezzy are actually related. They are both blonde and were re-educated at the same time. De-educated Jezzy has been known to deny the rest are her family, but still call Antonio ‘brother’.

((This is a very incomplete explanation. Each family member is a complex character with an extensive background, personal life, and set of motivations. If you want more information on any of them I would be happy to share what I know, but I would suggest going to talk to the mun. They’re all wonderful, kind people.))

Nightmares: Diego

Ricardo is suddenly behind the small security team, arms crossed over his chest, his face severe and dangerous. “Why has no one gone to check on him?” he demands. He listens to the stammered excuses and apologies, narrowing his eyes ever so slightly at each security guard in turn.

He holds up a hand to stop the excuses and snorts at them, dismissing them with a flick of his wrist. “Get out of here before I do something to lessen the amount of money spent on security!” he hisses, watching as they disperse before his sentence is finished. Ricardo waits for several seconds, smoothing the front of his suit before reaching out, opening the door to Diego's room.

He's not surprised when he finds the room to be a complete disaster. Diego has ripped his bed to shreds, the mattress itself torn apart and hurled against the wall. The sheets and blankets are strewn all over, tattered and torn and Ricardo sighs when he sees that Diego has ripped apart the wallpaper, making it look as if some kind of wild animal had lost its mind in here.

Ricardo doesn't even blink when Diego points Janine between his eyes. The tips of Diego's fingers are bloody and torn and he's breathing heavily, chest rising and falling rapidly in his rage and fear. His black eyes are rimmed with red, his eyelids slid halfway down. His vision is unfocused and unsteady and Ricardo can see that Diego is is still very much asleep.

Wordlessly Ricardo reaches up, taking hold of Janine's barrel, pointing it upwards to avoid taking a bullet to his face. “I think...someone needs something warm to drink and a bed that is less...destroyed to sleep in,” he says. He gives Janine an experimental tug and smiles when Diego immediately lets go of her, allowing Ricardo to slip her into his pocket to avoid anymore threats of being shot.

“Come here, Diego.” He catches Diego when he crumples forward into his arms and sighs as he easily adjusts his hold to carry Diego in his arms, taking him out of the room and down to the kitchens, already knowing that Diego would come up with excuses and colorful curses once he was fully awake and aware of his surroundings.

Sergio lands with a winded yelp of pain, too stunned to immediately get up and make another attempt against her. He hisses and slowly rolls over onto his stomach, gasping for air from the kick that had knocked it out of him. His glasses are hanging off of his face and he pants, glaring at her hatefully, his teeth gritted.

She frowns, sighing when she realizes Ricardo must have used a fail-safe word on him too. Another test maybe? “...You shouldn't attack your fiance,” she reminds him, struggling to keep her voice calm, body tensed and ready for another physical confrontation.

“You're not my fiance!” he spits, struggling to push himself up to his knees. “You stay away from me!”

Stella tries to think back to what they had been talking about, trying to figure out what word Ricardo could have possibly given as the trigger this time. “Now, try to stay calm, darling. Nobody likes a wife beater.”

“I am not your darling or your husband!” Sergio snarls, curling his lip back, teeth flashing. “I don't even know who you are!” He stumbles but eventually gets to his feet, hands clenched into trembling fists. “Now tell me where..?”

She watches as he suddenly lets out a cry of pain, clasping onto his head. Blood starts to trickle from one nostril and then the other and Stella sighs, allowing herself to relax ever so slightly at this. He wasn't a threat to her, not physically at least but that still didn't mean she wanted to snap her handsome fiance's neck like a twig under her heel. “Dear, you're bleeding. Maybe if you calm down...”

“I am not your dear!” he shrieks and he stumbles back a step, eyes clamped shut before he falls back onto his knees, hissing as he presses the heels of his hands against his temples now, choking back a sob. “I want...I want to go home...” he mumbles, shaking his wrist, dislodging the silver watch there, a smooth steel bracelet still clinging tightly to the skin.

He looks so vulnerable and weak...and for a brief moment Stella sees a terrified boy under all of that.

And she loves him.
