Steve joining the show as a pro dancer, and being the handsome, charismatic fan favourite that everyone just adores. Always the most supportive of his fellow dancers and contestants, the first to talk anyone and everyone up. But he is also incredibly skilled both at dancing and at teaching, so he can make even the worst dancers he gets paired with look incredible and survive further into the show than anyone could have imagined.
But he's also incredible at creating unbelievably convincing chemistry with his celebrity partners, no matter their gender or their age. This combined with his looks and charisma always leads to the Strictly Curse rumours following him and his dance partner. Gossip news sites and fans picking apart every second to point out where an affair is happening. Paparazzi constantly trying to pry into his private life to get the shot proving an affair.
But, they never get anything. Because he is incredibly loyal, he would never cheat on a significant other and would never knowingly help another person cheat.
After too many years of rumours and accusations, he gives a single personal, emotional interview. Stating how the rumours always stung him deeply. Because of how his first serious relationship ended with him being cheated on, with someone he'd been told not to worry about. Also because of his family history, his father having constant affairs, leaving his mother bitter and angry. He knew the pain and destruction caused by affairs, and would never willingly cause anyone else to suffer that way.
