Today on Card Game Anime Reactions - Cardfight Vanguard G: Stride Gate - FINAL TURN

More of tying up loose ends this episode. Because the ones who would have come off worse if Ryuzu had succeeded was Cray, it makes sense that the Zodiac Time Beasts would be the ones to enact his punishment/redemption. The way it was done, however, was surprising. I wasn’t expecting baby Ryuzu to be so cute! 

Also, Chono Dran finally reveals his true form: Chronojet Dragon. It was something we’ve expected for sometime now, but what’s interesting is that Chrono Dran had traveled back in time to grow into the form he had now. Then again... If Chrono Dran had been stuck on Earth for 10 years without any way back, he would not have had the training he needed to grow up into a new form. Also, it seems like all the cards have new forms that will probably only be shown next season - NEXT. 

CFVG: NEXT seems to be a highschool story, just like season 4 of CFV was. BUT DAMN CHRONO LOOKS SO COOL IN THE TRAILER! Character art wise, all the character look like they’ve matured somewhat (Eyes are somewhat smaller, but somehow they feel... sad? Is something going on here? Chrono looks really sad...). TRY3 going against each other is going to be epic and the two new characters shown are really interesting design wise. The opening song is really cool as well.

Also - Teams: Tokoha is with Kumi and Satoru(Lol what?!), Shion is with Rin and an unknown (Also it seem’s they’re in Fukuhara High School, judging by the uniform.), Chrono is with his new friend and Taiyou!!!

Okay I checked the wiki and it seems like Chrono’s school is Tokyo Metropolitan Harumi High School... Oh no. Please don’t tell me Chrono moved...

Today on Card Game Anime Reactions Ver CFVG - Stride Gate 48

IBUKURO WAS SO STRONG THIS EPISODE!!! (Wao Chrono, good job defending Ibuki against the onslaught of hurting words.)

Also, its a bit of a trend lately, but quite a few anime I’m watching have reached a point where characters are being entrusted the hope of those around them. And damn, Chrono, way to shove that offer of a ‘too perfect’ future in Ryuzu’s face, and slam down that onslaught of attacks as well. 

By the way, I loved this episode purely because everyone’s expressions were amazingly well animated. Especially Chrono and Ibuki’s. It was BEAUTY. 

A bit of something I noticed, but of the Gear Chronicle cards, its interesting to see how the two decks differ between owners. Ryuzu’s is composed of mostly machines - emotionless, futures decided for them, rigid mindset. Chrono’s is the exact opposite, composed of humans, dragons, animals with machine parts/weapons - full of emotion as living beings, have free will, and the imagination to know that the future is never set in stone, only restricted by their own limitations.

Today on Card Game Anime Reactions - Stride Gate 47

This episode should be named Tokoha and Satoru destroy many bridges (I laughed as the bridges fell) while Tokoha rejects on a future built on the sacrifice of many. and also Am and Luna finally admit that they don’t want to live in a world without each other. AM X LUNA IS NOW VERY POSSIBLY CANON!!! I mean, Luna outright says “Daisuki”! (One time I’m happy with the official translation damnit. These two deserve each other.).

Actually... True Feelings is a very good title. Am and Luna express their true feelings to each other, and Satoru finally admits to himself that he doesn’t want to do this (I love this guy really. He’s just... too sweet to actually hate.) 

We still have no news on Shion and Shouma’s status tho. Also, I forgot to mention this in my last post, but Shouma seems to like Shion a little too much. I mean, every single thing he’s done so far (Except that first meeting) has been to provoke Shion into chasing him down. 

Also no news on my silver haired red eyed atoner. Hurry Chrono and bring him back!

Card Game Anime Reactions... Ver Vanguard G: Stride Gate EP45

Or the episode where Ibukuro is very very prominent. Oh Ibuki I still can’t believe you stalked Chrono while stealth mentoring him. And that flashback of him watching Chrono’s growth and wishing that he would be able to see the future Chrono would have reached... *Sob* Damnit Ibuki! You had better be just sleeping!!! I find it really amazing that Ibuki found hope in Chrono. So much hope for a better future. And that Ibuki, despite early misgivings, decided to place his trust in Chrono, and did everything to ensure that Chrono succeeded. 

On the other hand... I really don’t like Chronofang Tiger. If its Generation form wasn’t any indicator, the Tiger has staged its rebellion against its fellows, thinking that sacrifice of an entire world is worth ensuring the future of another. That and the Tiger was sealed, as revealed in episode 45, which means that the Gear Chronicle clan had known he was a genuine threat long ago and had sealed him away (Well... At least before they revealed themselves to the rest of the clans).
